topDentists was started in January 2007 with the intent to identify the best dentists and specialists in the country and is the only list of its kind – chosen by the dental profession themselves.
Finding the right dentist can be an overwhelming process. Where do you start? Asking your doctor or your friends can be helpful. Other options such as referral services can often require dentists to pay for their listings and any dentist can pay for an ad in the yellow pages. Here at topDentists it is our mission to help you find the best dentist for your needs.
topDentists has over twenty years in combined experience by its two co-owners
putting together peer-review referral guides in the legal, dental and medical fields.
Using this experience along with the input of several prominent dentists in the
United States, we have created a selection process
that has been refined and improved over previous superlative guides. Because dentists must
be voted in strictly by their peers, and virtually every dentist is given an opportunity to
participate, and listings cannot be purchased (and no payment is required to be listed),
inclusion in topDentists is considered to be a distinct honor.
In our first year, 14 states (or portions therein) were polled and released. By the end of this year we are expected to have over half the country polled, completing the entire country by 2009. Our lists have reached the readers of magazines from San Diego Magazine to Northern Ohio Live,
and from Minnesota Monthly to Austin Monthly. With a circulation of nearly 1 million and reaching over
5 million readers, topDentists is quickly becoming the most recognizable list of dentists in the U.S.
